Welcome to our Computer Role-Playing Game Page. My husband and me are mostly
into massively-multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games (MMORPGs).
I also play Single-User RPGs, where I favor old school dungeon crawls. The part I like most is building up a strong party. |
MMORPGs we play/played:
|
Waiting for german version of World of Warcraft. The MMORPG I currently play is Everquest 2. I played quite a few MMORPGs since I last edited this site, the one I liked best is Final Fantasy XI. And *blush* I must admit I found TSO quite fun, although I did not play it past the free trial period. But it was a refreshing change from the levelling treadmill of most fantasy/sci-fi MMORPGs and I enjoyed making pizza. Also a nice change from standard RPG-Fare is the second telling of A Tale in the Desert (ATITD), which has Windoze, Mac and Linux clients freely available. |

Wizardy 8 is a must have for every RPG fan. Check the official Website for more info. I waited for this for years, and when it finally came out I saw very little hype about it. Angband is a almost-no-grafix dungeon crawl open source game which I find pretty addicting. I dug out Might and Magic VI and VII and am playing it at the moment and find it quite fun. Spiderweb Software published the Exiles, revamped as Avernums for newer systems and several other fun RPGs. If you have not played any of their games, go there and check them out. Evil Islands is another old game I dug out recently. It is incredibly, frustratingly difficult on the harder of the two difficulty levels, but fun to play on the easier setting with patch 1.06. Demise is a huge dungeon crawl you can buy online. I played it for quite a while till I became frustrated with mean mobs draining my hard earned character stats around dungeon level 7 or 8. Note this has 32 dungeon levels, so I did not get that deep. This game is almost pure dungeon exploration and hack-and-slash, only worth a look for the most hardcore old school dungeon crawl fan IMHO. |
Fun Stuff:
|
Runescape is a cute MMORPG where you can bake bread and shear sheep. In Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates you can join pirate crews and help sail the ship or fight sea battles. When I played it, you had 10 free logins with somewhat limited functionality before having to pay. If you like puzzles, be sure to try this fun little game. Galaga while neither MMO nor RPG reminds me of when I was young |
Things to check out:
|
I find MMORPG.com a good site to check for MMORPG news. Devil Whiskey is a Bard's Tale style RPG which I have not played very far in an older version. Might be worth checking out. |
