Greetingsss,
gonna start a diary now ;) The protagonists are the Sslytherins, a brood of Iksar consisting of Chozzar (24th monk), Issly (24th Necro) and me (24th Shaman). A new Ssyltherin might be Wantur (18th Warrior).

Issly, Chozzar and me went to our favorite camp spot, the giants in Warsilks Woods. We have camped near the bridge that goes into the fortress right next to the road from Cabilis quite a few times. Alas today some druid in wolfform was kiting giants through our camp, so we decided to move to the other entrance of the fortress. There we were the only ones around, and our skilled monk started pulling those giants. A level 24th Iksar warrior joined us for a short time but then he had to leave on guild buisness. But Issly, Choz and me were quite capable of handling those giants, me buffing Choz and debuffing the giants, Issly sending his pet in and dotting and Choz pulling and killing them. After a while, Wantur ran over from killing skeletons in Kurn's Tower to join us. He was only level 18 but still got experience. The four of us ruled the place.

Today, Chozzar and me met up with Wantur, who has reached 19th level now. We set out from Cabilis to kill yet again the foul forest giants that live in Warsilks Woods. We spent about three hours in our last spot, on the far side from Cabilis. I made about 25 plat and a good bubble of experience - only one more bubble till level 25 ;) When it was time to turn in I gated back to Cabilis, sold the Hammer of Flattening I had looted and logged. The Sslytherins shall meet again tomorrow!

I powerleveled Wantur a bit, he is level 20 now.
Then I got killed by stupidity, pressing "a" instead of "h"
when trying to Hail a Shaman from my guild.
Wantur chose his
surname and too is a Sslytherin now, we toasted the occasion with
some red wine I had brewed.
Later all Sslyterins tried to camp
the badit lord and met with disaster(. While no mob was really
dangerous, Goblins and Iksar kept arriving till we were overwhelmed.
I called a RUN, but Issly didn't hear it and got killed. On corpse
recovery Chozzar got killed once and Wantur got killed twice.
We were very frustrated and logged.

We met fairly late, Wantur is level 21 by now. We decided to do something safe and camp the giants again. All went well and we got a bubble of experience each and this time Wantur won the roll for a Hammer of Flattening. Later, I also smithed the pieces of banded Wantur was still lacking and made some legs and gloves on order. Gained one point of smithing, at 140 now) All in all a good if not too exciting day.

Spent the week in Munich and couldn't add to my diary, so all in a bunch. During the week we managed to figure out the Bandit Lord camp. First time there, a fat Ogre had already broken the spawn and helped us ease in. We got about 7 Bracers of Scavenging (AC 9, Dex +5, Sta +5) altogether, one for Victorious, a friendly Iksar Shaman, one for Wantur and Shakasta each and the others we passed on to our alts to sell. We decided to split any sales proceeds evenly between the Sslytherins. Issly managed to sell one for 200 plat and a crafted bracer which he gave to his dwarf, so we each got 65 plat. Still have lots of bracers to sell though. We also visited Dalnir and camped at the zone border. Shrink is very useful there, I kept us all shrunk all the time so we had more room to pull. Wantur didn't have magic weapons, so he couldn't hit some of the mobs in Dalnir and was frustrated. Noiram, Chozzars Wiz, shuttled over the Obsidian Shard and a Velium Mace my druid had on her to sell. Wantur loves the shard, he really enjoys the 30 damage proc).
Then we camped some in Lake and went inside the fortress. Good experience, but the only not-so-phat lewt we found was a Blade of Passage (magic 1HS, 7/35, +20 hp) which Wantur got. I started making banded gauntlets to skill up, my skill at smithing is 157 now. I also sold two almost full suits of Cabilis Scale, I have 600 plat in the bank now! I also brewed several stacks of Ol' Tujums fierce brew and am a Master Brewer) Chozzar drinks the stuff down like water, he has his alcohol tolerance maxed for every level.
In lake, I bought the loot rights to a worn charbone for 5 plat and turned it in with a hammer from the forest giants, a star ruby and a banded cloak to get a Mystic Scale Cloak (AC 9, Sta +5, Cold +5 I think). Have Mystic boots, legs, cloak and helm now. I sold my old cloak (Ac 8, Dex +5) to Wantur for 100 plat ;) Hope I didn't overcharge him, but since he got the Blade and Shard I guess it is ok, hehe. Ah, I logged my Paladin in to farm in upper Guk for Froglok Blood, which I hope to need soon for advanced smithing. She got a shimmering Orb (AC 15, hp +20, int casters and bards only) of the Scryer and shuttled it over to Issly. It looks really cool, like a force-shield. Issly loves it. Shak got 100 plat for that. Iss also managed to buy +3 int, plus 3 some other stat -3 cha earrings for 20 plat each, and is much happier with his equipment. Wantur bought Jagged Bands. Issly and Chozzar spent some time soloing the brutes in Dalnir, excellent solo spot. We are all level 27 now, Shakasta is just 2 blue bubbles from 28.

Today
us four Sslyterins went to Frontier Mountains for the first time.
First we killed some stuff near the zone border to Lake, then we
moved to the fortress where Chozzar pulled a steady stream of
blue-to-red giants. It was easy for us, no deaths and Issly and me
dinged into 28. We didn't stay for long, maybe two hours. Afterwards
I smithed some Cabilis Scale for Wantur, was a shame to see him still
in banded. It cost a pretty penny but he looks much nicer now :) Click on the small image to see a picture of Wantur in his new mail, courtesy of our chronicler Chozzar.

Patch Day - I hate patch day!
I traded a Bracer of Scavenging for a Ry'Gorr Coif and Iksar Scaled Gauntlets and also bought two +6 wis rings with my trade hobbit in the EC tunnel. Noiram shuttled the stuff over to Dalnir, where Wantur got the armor and Shakasta the rings. While Wantur and me waited around we killed some brutes. When Chozzar came over we tried to go into Dalnir, but alas the coerced Iksar at the entrace proved too much for us. On first try we had to zone, on second try Chozzar died. Wantur and me managed to finish the darn Iksar off afterwards. Chozzar then soloed the 5 outside brutes to get his experience back, with me buffing him and Wantur helping finish them off. And we called it a day.

Good Day! All four of us Sslytherins went to Frontier Mountains to camp giants again. All went well except once when we had to run, some other group pulled several craigs and braes. We found plenty of loot, best of all a forest loop which went to Chozzar since I already have two. A lumberjack cap is going to be shuttled to the mainland to sell, I sold the rest to vendors with my charisma buff on. When split, everyone received over 33 plat. Chozzars alcohol tolerance is maxed, so he have the rest of the booze I had made to Wantur. Gonna have two masterdrunk Sslytherins soon ;) I also sold some banded, am at 161 smithing now.
Weekend till 08/Apr/01
On friday we just camped the giants in FM a little, but the loot wasn't that good this time. One saturday, Issly wasn't there. Wantur, Chozzar and me got 2 bracers of the Bandit Lord. Also one Iksar Blood, the only one I have so far. We also did some camping at the Goblin Tower in Lake. I sold one bracer (100 plat each) and the other I traded for a new sword for Wantur (12/36 magic). Finally he has something better than his forest giant hammer.
On sunday, with Chozzar and Issly we went into Dalnir. It was a great expedition, we teamed up with two other Iksar and Cilyen, a level 52 enchanter friend of ours, showed up and kept us clarytied and hasted and mezzed additional mobs. He also stayed in Iksar form so he fit right in. We went from the entrance to camp the throneroom and then we jumped down to level 2. I dinged into 29 during that expedition ). On level 2 we fought some goo's and I got my adhesive goo. Finnaly we all ran out through the exit teleporter. Back in Cabilis I bought my new spells and got the mystic scale bracer, both that cost me about 300 plat. Broke again(. Later in the evening we got ourselves two more bracers, alas the camp is starting to green out. We are gonna have to look for another moneymaking-scheme soon. My new spells are great, I enjoyed giving away the "superbuffs". At last I brewed several stack's of Ol'Tujums fierce brew, which Wantur and other Iksar that had gathered guzzled down. At 135 brewing now - tomorrow I shall attempt to make scale temper with the one Iksar blood I have.

Made one scale temper from the Iksar Blood and then smithed, smithed, smithed till my wrists hurt. At 178 smithing now! I really want Imbued, but am afraid to waste the valuable temper, so I guess I am gonna practise some more.
Easter weekend till 16/Apr/01
First us Sslytherins went to Dalnir again. I got one Iksar Blood from a friendly Iksar Shaman, but failed on the brewing roll, drats. All in all the Dalnir expedtion wasn't too great, I died from a coerced gnome's area damage and shortly after our group was wiped out by many casters. We decided to do something safer and went to camp the FM Giants for two days. Nice loot, over 150 plat each, and a strawspun belt for Wantur and a Lumberjack Cap for Chozzar. Issly, Wantur and me dinged into 30) We grouped some with Reimus, a very polite Erudite Wizard who knows how to treat us Iksar. Chozzar died once from a Burynai Cenobite, and we aided a guildmate of mine in retrieving her corpse. I spent about an hour casting minor healing and Cannibalize to set my specialisation to Alteration. I also smithed some more and brewed Ginesh for Wan and Choz, at 184 smithing and at 138 brewing now.
till 01/May/01 All Sslytherins are level 32 now. Did lots of stuff, mainly camp Dalnir, FV and Nurga. I made a page for our Nurga expedition here. Also check my homepage for the attempts on Imbued so far.
till 28/May/01 Chozzar wanted to play his main, a 35 wizzie, so we lost our monk and gained a wiz. We went to Velious, check the two links from my homepage to read about our adventures there. Gonna give up writing daily reports of our expeditions and make seperate pages for interesting zones instead. All 35 or 36 now.
