Exploring Crystal Caverns

First Expedition:

When we first went there with our regular group (me, Wiz, War, Nec), we were all level 35. Easy to get to with invis. We tried to fight our way down the tunnels, but had a runner that brought back more and the warrior and wizard died. Corpse retrieval was no problem with invis. We got a chanter to help but she went LD pretty soon and we didn't get very far. Scared of more deaths we evaced out. Total time spent: maybe 3 hours including corpse retrieval time. Loot was negliable.

Second Expedition:

On the second expedition, we brought a 33 warrior (Tukur) and a 38 cleric (Mikall) and the Nec took his alt along, a 34 druid. We invised and levied everyone and jumped down. The cleric knew his way around and showed us the sights. We first made our way to the Dwarf town to look around, and then went to point 3 on the eqatlas map of the lower tunnels and camped orcs a bit. A nice robe (Crystal Covered Shroud) dropped off a herbalist. Alas, the cleric was too high to get exp off the miners, so we slowly made our way through the dwarf town, 3, 4, and 5 to six. Killed a lot of stalag terrors on the way, seem highly resistant to magic. The only spells I could land were poison and disease based. The room at 6 was stretching us to the limits to hold, all casters were constantly LOM. Noiram (the wizzie) and me dinged to 36, Tizian the druid dinged to 35 while camping there. We found some Crytal Fibre whips and the Blackened Crystaline robe below. Total camp time about 4 hours, we came out with 60 plat in money for each of us, 20 plat extra for the cleric for symbols and two very nice items. To get out we went through the geonid tunnels at point 7, very safe way out, nothing aggroed in there.

Besides the Vets, Noiram from Mad Wanderers and Manasven from Alliance of Planes also took part. We invised, levitated down the pit and went through the dwarf town to the Queens room. Held the room for a good three hours, killed the Queen three times. Were a bit powerful with three groups, after a while the highest level group split off to camp terrors at 6. Was very safe though, only one death, the cleric in the lowest level group on a large pull with room pops. Our monk kept pulling from the tunnels while we waited for the queen to pop, so almost non-stop action. Fun place to have a raid to, can recommend it :)

Loot

Second Expedition: Dropped of a Herbalist after about half an hour of camping near spot 3 on eqatlas map. Alas it looks very ugly when worn, like a light blue nightshirt.
Second Expedition: Dropped of a Life Leech at point 6 in the CC map after about 2 hours of camping there, really tough fight. The roll went to our wizard who wears it now and looks very cool.
Raid: Queen dropped those twice out of the three times we killed her.
Raid: Don't know what dropped this, something in the Queens room or pulled from the tunnels to there. Got one in the three hours we camped there. Also got a Messenger of the Queen, Pally only sword, of which I don't have a screenshot alas.
